Hotel Anastasia boasts an extremely central location, close to Piazza San Marco, in a quiet, small square where the elegant three-storey building that holds one of the most comfortable 3 star hotels in Venice faces.

Choosing Hotel Anastasia will immediately take you to the timeless atmosphere of the historic center, only a short distance separates you from the monumental facade of the Basilica of San Marco and from the Gothic outline of Palazzo Ducale.

Strolling about Piazza San Marco, stopping in one of its historic caffés, gives you unforgettable feelings which you cannot relinquish: history, culture and art will relentlessly seduce you!

Amongst the elegant rooms of Hotel Anastasia and the square you will find calle Larga XXII Marzo for some excellent brand-name shopping in the best boutiques, followed by the varied mercerie (or haberdashery shops) that take you to Rialto, where you will find the Prefecture and the courthouse.

Rialto! The Rialto Bridge, the market of Rialto, the erbaria (or herbarium) of Rialto! Basilica of San Marco / Inside its walls the Doge was ordained, considered the highest of the Republic's authorities. Here the troop leaders, that dominated the Mediterranean Sea for centuries, would receive their commands and always here the Crusaders would unite before leaving for the Holy Land. Underneath its domes and in front of its golden mosaics you can feel the breath of our history.

The La Fenice Theater / In the hotel's vicinity you can feel the extraordinary presence of one of the most beautiful theaters, rebuilt after the terrible fire of 1996 - the second after the one occurred in 1836. It rose from its ashes just like the mythical Phoenix. Be sure to ask for information regarding its events program at the reception!

Museums / The closeby Gallerie dell’Accademia are at the foot of the bridge with the same name that crosses the Grand Canal, where you can also see the rich collections inside the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and Palazzo Grassi, internationally acclaimed exhibit hall. In piazza San Marco you will find Museo Correr, which is dedicated to the history of Venice, and the brilliant Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, dedicated to modern art.

A must see! The splendid tours of the lagoon and the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, the Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica (International Cinematographic Art Exhibit) at the Lido di Venezia and the Biennale d’Arte (Art Biennial) at the Giardini (or Gardens), strolls along the Riva delle Zattere, the peace and quiet of the island of Giudecca and the Castle district.
